Benjamin Eero Nurmi is officially
ONE YEAR OLD!
I know Ben, we can't believe it either!
Here are the stats from Ben's 12 month check up:
Weight: 23lbs 5oz = 60th %ile
Height: 31 1/2 inches = 90th %ile
Head: 18 1/2 inches = 75th %ile
In summary, he is a tall skinny boy with big brains! hehe
Many"firsts" occurred this month. We had our first trip to the Pumpkin Patch, a first Birthday, First Halloween (dressed up) and a first Haircut!
We took a trip to Goebberts on that HOT, sunny day in October... I think it hit 90 degrees! We were pretty miserable, swatting at the billions of bugs that swarmed all around us, but we tried to make the best of it! Good thing the zoom on the camera isn't that great... you might see gnats in our teeth! haha

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate Ben's 1st Birthday! A special thanks to our families from Indy & Mahomet - The Nurmis (x2), Coes, and Taylors (x3) - that was so awesome you could come! We were lucky to have his bday fall on a Saturday so his party was his actual birthday. Here are a couple pics:

Another big milestone... Ben's first haircut! The first two pictures show his super-shaggy locks, the poof! semi-shaggy locks (per Daddy's request)

Then, of course, there was Halloween! Ben had two costumes - a bear and an elephant. We went with the elephant because we couldn't find his brown pants for the bear costume. He looked pretty darn cute as we walked around the block to visit some neighbors!

Thad & Sarah: We are still putting finishing touches on Thad's office - although it IS functional at this point! Thad has been home and will be for a bit of time before the boat show season starts to pick up. I'm still working on my Masters and staying busy with work and family!
Murray: Poor Murray keeps getting put to the bottom of the totem pole... I almost forgot to mention him but he just walked into my field of vision. haha Murray is doing just fine - his favorite thing to do is hover around the high chair like a remora and wait for food to drop!
